Gunma is a landlocked, mountainous prefecture in Kanto located to the northwest of Tokyo. Gunma is famously known as a ski and snowboarding area, with many hot springs - the most popular of them being Kusatsu Onsen, which has been the top-ranked hot spring in Japan for 13 years running.
