Kyoto-based indie festival celebrates its 25th anniversary
A one-of-a-kind musical space created by the organizers and volunteers.
"Boro Festa," which began in 2002, is a music festival that continues to be held in Kyoto.
Regardless of fame or genre, the organizers book artists they feel compelled to see and invite. Over 100 volunteer staff members work together with the organizers to create everything from venue setup to operation.
2026 marks the 25th anniversary. In Kyoto during the beautiful autumn foliage season, you can enjoy new musical encounters and the sense of unity that only a handmade festival can offer.

Immerse yourself in music from noon to night for four days.
In addition to KBS Hall, Club METRO will also host its first all-night event.
The event will be held from Saturday, October 31st to Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026. A variety of live performances will take place over the four days at the main venue, Kyoto KBS Hall.
On the night of October 31st (Saturday), they will be holding an all-night performance at Kyoto Club METRO. Furthermore, on November 2nd (Monday), they will be hosting "Boro the Party," the first all-night party at KBS Hall.
The performers include ZAZEN BOYS, KOTORI, Otoboke Beaver, Kimyo Reitaro BAND, PC Music Club, OGRE YOU ASSHOLE, Humbreaders, Ozaki Sekaikan, Shinsei Kamattechan, and others.
