Kagoshima Travel Guide
Kagoshima prefecture is found in southern Kyushu, and includes a series of roughly 600 outlying islands, including Yakushima, home to the forest that inspired the Studio Ghibli film, Princess Mononoke.
Kagoshima is also home to Sakurajima, an active volcano, and is known for its numerous hot springs and stunning natural sites. There is also Kagoshima Castle, and many other amazing, little-known places to discover throughout this prefecture.
