Local Canvas is an organization based in Shioya Town, Tochigi Prefecture that operates tourism and town development projects. Shioya Town is the least populated town in Tochigi Prefecture. Surrounded by mountains, the original scenery of Japan is spreading out. Shioya Town is truly a water town, and in the northern part of the town there are spring ponds called the Shoujinzawa Yusui Group, which support people's lives. Our company is working on regional revitalization while operating an outdoor sauna that utilizes the natural resources of Shioya Town and an inn that is a renovated old folk house.

What is a WELLNESS SAUNA?

Wellness Sauna is a sauna event held along the Kinugawa River in Shioya-cho, Tochigi Prefecture, in the Kanto region of Japan. You can enjoy the sauna in the location shown in the photo at the beginning of this article.

 how to get there 

The Wellness Sauna venue is located along the Kinugawa River Side Shioya Town, Tochigi Prefecture.

By car: Kinugawa River Special Canoeing Stadium（https://maps.app.goo.gl/FRBtDvvbjvhR4LWu9）

By train: JR Nikko Line Nikko Station - Imaichi - Shimo-Imaichi - Shintakatoku. A courtesy car will be provided from Shintakatoku Station on the Tobu Kinugawa Line to the venue.

How to enjoy SAUNA

The Wellness Sauna features a sauna that is prepared in a natural setting. Visitors can also enjoy the experience of making aroma oil for the sauna and whisking with birch leaves. In addition, guests can enjoy meals and sauna drinks made with ingredients unique to Shioya Town.
