Kawasaki City Jokeiji Temple Guide
Jokeiji Temple is a Jodo sect temple that was founded in 1615. It is known as the Hydrangea Temple because it has over 1,000 hydrangeas planted there. You will also be greeted by a variety of arhat statues with different expressions.


Arhat statue
The term "Arhat statues" refers to saints who have completed their training and attained enlightenment in Buddhism, particularly the disciples of Shakyamuni. They are depicted as monks wearing Buddhist robes.
