"KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS 10th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION BEYOND THE STRAND: The Odyssey of Creation and Endeavor"
On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS is holding this exhibition.
KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS is a creative studio founded on December 16, 2015, by game creator Hideo Kojima under the banner of "FROM SAPIENS TO LUDENS".
Since its founding, KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS has connected with creators and partners around the world, combining technology and creativity to produce works that transcend the boundaries of existing genres and media.
This exhibition traces the 10-year trajectory, shedding light not only on the completed works but also on the ideas, trials and errors exchanged, and traces of the creators' thoughts that led to their creation. It unravels how KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS' creations have been made and what kind of future they aim for.
The four experiences that make up "BEYOND THE STRAND:The Odyssey of Creation and Endeavor"
1. Experience the 10-year journey of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS as their ideas spread to the world.
This exhibition looks back on the 10 years from the founding of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS to the present day, showcasing their works, projects, and the activities of their creators.
This exhibition explores the origins of each work, the encounters and connections with various people that shaped its form, and presents its journey in a multi-dimensional way through symbolic events and creations. It's not merely a "10-year archive," but an exhibition where you can experience the creative journey from a single idea to its spread across the world.
2. "Behind the Scenes of Production and Previously Unpublished Materials": Delving into the Trial and Error Process Leading to Completion
This exhibition will feature a wealth of valuable materials being shown for the first time, including concept art, setting materials, design proposals, and various ideas that arose during the production process. Furthermore, it will focus on the behind-the-scenes aspects of the creation process, such as episodes and trial and error that are not visible in the finished works. Behind-the-scenes stories compiled from interviews with the production team will also be revealed.
Through previously unreleased materials and anecdotes, this exhibition delves into the moments when KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS' works are created.
3. Experience the atmosphere of the studio in a realistic way with the "Recreated Space & 10th Anniversary Limited Edition Ludens Statue".
In a portion of this exhibition space, a statue of Ludens, adorned in a special 10th-anniversary design, will be on display, allowing you to enjoy taking photos as if you were actually at the studio.
In addition, several other character statues are scheduled to be unveiled for the first time at the exhibition.
4. A "360° video installation" that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the world of the artwork.
This exhibition features omnidirectional video content created exclusively for this event.
A massive 360° screen projects dynamic images, drawing viewers into the profound world of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS' works. Going beyond the boundaries of games, this exhibition offers a cutting-edge experience unique to a studio that fuses technology and visual art.
