MATSUSHIMAFALL LIGHT UP
This is a popular event held every year at Entsu-in Temple in Matsushima during the autumn leaves season. It is said to be one of the most beautiful night illuminations in Tohoku. Stroll through the quiet Entsuin Garden, which is beautiful during the day and has a magical atmosphere at night. In autumn, the garden is decorated with beautiful autumn leaves, captivating visitors. The reflection of the trees on the mirror-like surface of the pond is magical, as if it were an entrance to another world.
The best time to see the autumn leaves in the Matsushima area is usually from mid-November to late November, so we recommend the Matsushima Light-up as a sightseeing spot in autumn.
