Part 1 (17:00-18:00)
"Matcha" is popular all over the world. This is a program where participants can take home a special matcha latte recipe and a chasen that can be used to make authentic matcha and matcha latte, allowing them to enjoy making matcha latte at home even after returning home.
In the chasen making experience, you can experience the threading process using thread of your favorite color.
In addition, to commemorate the "Japan's Food Sacred Land Pilgrimage - NARA" tour, Tango Tanimura, in his 20s, created a chasen with a flower press created for this project, as well as a tea whisk with a flower press made by Mr. Tango Tanimura, a potter, Minoru Ono. We will be selling a special edition that combines his tea bowl with a tea whisk box made by Urasenke associate professor Munehiro Goto.
Part 2 (18:00-20:00)
The dishes utilize matcha sweets and ingredients, seasonings, and cooking methods that have their roots in Nara.
As an original menu for this tour that Hotel Nikko Nara is proud of, we will prepare a menu that you can fully enjoy pairing with sake.
As for sake, you can enjoy Aburanaga Sake Brewery Co., Ltd.'s popular sake ``Kaze no Mori'' and ``Takacho'' made with Japan's oldest sake mother, Bodaimoto*1.
In addition, the brewery's president, Mr. Chobei Yamamoto, will give a talk on sake from Nara, the birthplace of sake, making this a valuable event.
