What is Fujiten Snow Resort?

Fujiten Snow Resort is a ski resort located at an altitude of 1,300m at the foot of Mt. Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture, and is easily accessible, just a 90-minute drive from Shinjuku, Tokyo.
At Fujiten Snow Resort, you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding, as well as sledding and playing in the snow. Even if you don't play in the snow, you can take the "Mt. Fuji Observation Lift" and enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji from the "Mt. Fuji Observation Deck" at the top of the mountain.
When is Fujiten Snow Resort open?

Fujiten Resort is usually open from mid-December to early April . Immediately after opening and from late March onwards, the number of runs is limited and the amount of snow on the slopes is low, so if you want to enjoy skiing in good conditions, we recommend going from January to early March.
Also, the downhill slopes, where advanced skiers can enjoy steep runs and mogul courses, usually open in January. If you want to enjoy high-level courses, be sure to check the opening dates on the website in advance.
Open throughout the New Year holidays

Fujiten Snow Resort is open every day during the winter season, and of course also during the New Year holidays. Please feel free to come and enjoy your last skiing of the year or your first skiing of the new year. During the New Year holidays (excluding December 31st and January 1st), you can also enjoy night skiing!
What can you do at Fujiten Snow Resort?
1. Great for families too! Play in the snow at "Chibikko Ai Land (For sleds & snow play area)"

Chibikko Ai Land (For sleds & snow play area) is an area where you can enjoy sledding and playing in the snow. You can move to the top of the slope on a 50m long moving walkway. Sleds can be rented for a fee. While you're here, be sure to enjoy playing in the snow!
2. Skiing and snowboarding

For those new to skiing or snowboarding, we recommend our "Concierge Tour." They'll carefully explain what equipment to rent and how to get started. First-timers should definitely book a Concierge Tour (online booking). We also offer a "Comfort Plan" where a dedicated concierge will assist you from hotel transfers to lessons. Advance booking is required via our website.
Please see the following articles for details on each plan.
3. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji from the observation deck.

Even if you don't ski or snowboard, you can take the "Mount Fuji Observation Lift" and enjoy a magnificent view of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko stretching out below from the observation deck at the summit.
Enjoy a 15-minute aerial stroll on the lift with Mt. Fuji directly in front of you, and view the majestic Mt. Fuji from the Mt. Fuji observation deck at the top of "Tenjinyama." On the way back, enjoy another aerial stroll and see the Aokigahara Jukai forest and Lake Kawaguchiko spread out below you.
4. Enjoy the local specialty dishes that can only be tasted here.

Fujiten Snow Resort has three restaurants, two of which can be used by anyone, even if you are not skiing or snowboarding. These are "Yodel" and "Kern" located in the Center House.
At "Yodel" on the second floor of the Center House, you can enjoy Fujiten Snow Resort's specialties, such as "Mt. Fuji Curry" and "Beef Sukiyaki Plate." At "Koln" on the first floor, you can enjoy noodles and rice bowls, including original ramen. After enjoying playing in the snow, warm up your body from the inside out with some hot gourmet food.
5. Purchase original goods and souvenirs at the shop

On the first floor of the Center House, we sell Fujiten Snow Resort original goods, local souvenirs, as well as ski equipment such as gloves, hats, goggles, etc. Fujiten goods can only be purchased here, so be sure to check it out so you don't forget to buy them.
Access from Tokyo by car, train, or bus
| means of transportation | access |
| ① If you are coming by car | Approximately 20 minutes from Lake Kawaguchiko Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. |
| ② If you are coming by train or highway bus | Approximately 20 minutes by Fujiten Shuttle Bus or taxi from Kawaguchiko Sta. on the Fujikyu Railway Line. |
Driving in winter in an unfamiliar country is extremely dangerous, so we recommend using trains, express buses, or the Fujiten Shuttle Bus. By express bus, it takes about 90 minutes from Shinjuku, Tokyo to Kawaguchiko Sta., and then about 20 minutes from Kawaguchiko Sta. to Fujiten using the Fujiten Shuttle Bus. In terms of cost, a round trip from Shinjuku to Lake Kawaguchiko costs 4,000 yen for adults, and the Fujiten Shuttle Bus costs 4,400 yen, so a round trip from Tokyo to Fujiten is possible for 8,400 yen per person. There are also tour buses that go directly from central Tokyo to Fujiten, but if you want to enjoy sightseeing around Lake Kawaguchiko and events such as winter fireworks, the combination of express bus and Fujiten Shuttle Bus is recommended.

1. Access by car

The ski resort has a large parking lot that can accommodate 2,500 cars. It is free to use on weekdays, but on weekends and holidays, a parking fee of 1,000 yen per standard car is required.

【Note!】
If you are going to Fujiten by car or rental car, make sure to have snow tires . Even if it is not snowing, the minimum temperature in the morning and evening will be below 0 degrees, and there is a risk of the roads freezing.
If you do not have snow tires , we recommend parking your car in a paid parking lot near Kawaguchiko Sta. and taking the Fujiten Shuttle Bus which departs from in front of Kawaguchiko Sta.
When reserving a rental car, be sure to check whether the car is equipped with studless tires, and if not, check whether it can be added as an option. If it is difficult to add them even with the option, use public transportation.

If you are going to Fujiten from Tokyo using public transportation, the nearest station is Kawaguchiko Sta. on the Fujikyuko Line. You will need to take a taxi from Kawaguchiko Sta., but for a limited time only, there are bus tours and ski taxis that offer a round trip discount between Fujiten and Kawaguchiko Sta..
To access from Kawaguchiko Sta., please use the convenient Fujiten shuttle bus.
After enjoying the snow, take a day trip to the hot springs! "Fuji Chobo no Yu Yurari Onsen"

The day-trip Fuji Chobo no Yu Yurari Onsen, has a total of 16 types of baths, including an open-air bath with a view of Mt. Fuji and a cave bath. There is also a restaurant and a rest room, so you can relax and enjoy local Yamanashi cuisine after your bath.
If you're staying overnight, choose "Fuji Midori no Kyuka Mura"

For those who want to enjoy both sightseeing and playing in the snow at the Fuji Five Lakes, we recommend staying at Fuji Midori no Kyuka Mura, which has excellent access to Fujiten Snow Resort and the shores of Lake Kawaguchi. It is a 5-minute drive from Fujiten and about 20 minutes from Lake Kawaguchiko, making it a very convenient location for sightseeing at the Fuji Five Lakes.
Most of the guest rooms are Japanese-style, so you can relax and unwind after a day at the onsen. In addition to the large public baths, there are plans available for use at the nearby day spa facility, "Fuji Chobo no Yu Yurari Onsen."
