Yamanashi Travel Guide

Yamanashi prefecture sits to the southwest of Tokyo in the Chubu region of Japan. Yamanashi is most well-known for sharing Mount Fuji with Shizuoka prefecture, and for the Fuji Five Lakes area, which are a popular seasonal sightseeing spot in spring for cherry blossoms and shibazakura, and the autumn leaves, as well as for their hot spring resorts. Yamanashi is also famous for its outdoor sports and farming, and is Japan's leading wine producing region.
