There is a promenade that goes around the outer garden of the park in the Heian period castle ruins, and you can see Mt. Yatsugatake, Mt. Fuji, and the Southern Alps through the trees.
Yato Castle Ruins Park
Yato Castle Park is the remains of a castle from the Heian period, and was designated as a national historic site in 1993. It is currently undergoing maintenance and restoration, bringing the area back to its former appearance.

The sight of around 400 Somei-yoshino and double-flowered cherry trees blooming at different times across the mountain is overwhelming.
There is a promenade that circles the outer garden, and the panoramic view of Mt. Yatsugatake, Mt. Fuji, and Mt. Kaikoma-ga-take seen through the trees is magnificent.

The park is spacious, so you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing at your leisure.
