Your tour begins at the Heijo Palace Historical Park, once the site of the imperial splendor. Heijo-kyo was modelled on the Chang'an Palace of the Tang Dynasty and features a grid-like layout. Heijo-kyo was the centre of the capital and the country, housing the residence of the emperor and the offices of the government officials. Next, visit the tranquil Toshodaiji Temple, where you can immerse yourself in a spiritual atmosphere. Admire the graceful pagodas and explore the Treasure House, which houses ancient artefacts that epitomise centuries of Buddhist heritage. Your final stop is the Yakushiji Temple, an oasis of tranquility surrounded by greenery. A blend of East Asian and Indian architectural styles is reflected in the enchanting pagodas and surrounding buildings. Experience the beauty of ancient traditions as you explore three World Heritage sites.
After the meet, we will take a taxi to our first destination, Toshodaiji Temple.
