Traditional Japanese House Space imawo
Enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine in a renovated old house. Using additive-free seasonings and local vegetables, our concept is "dishes you can eat every day without getting tired of them."
A distinctive feature is that, despite being vegan cuisine, it values being an accessible "gateway" that anyone can easily enjoy.

A brown rice and side dish plate that your body will love.

This healthy lunch plate features brown rice and miso soup, incorporating local ingredients and fermented seasonings. The rice is mainly from the Chita Peninsula, and sometimes even organically grown rice cultivated by the owner himself is used.
The restaurant prioritizes using locally sourced vegetables, primarily from the "Vegetable Village" located on the Pottery Footpath. Because seasonal vegetables are incorporated, the contents of the lunch plate change daily, allowing you to enjoy a different menu almost every day. The classic "Tofu Yurinchi" is a popular dish that you can enjoy whenever you visit.
For seasoning, they use fermented condiments such as soy sauce, tamari, miso, and vinegar, and they choose additive-free ingredients whenever possible. The appeal lies in its gentle flavor, reminiscent of traditional Japanese rice dishes, that you won't tire of even if you eat it every day.
Chilled soy milk sesame tantanmen noodles (with extra brown rice)

This is a limited-time summer cold vegan ramen that combines the richness of soy milk and sesame with the umami of fermented seasonings.
The soup is prepared without heating to preserve the flavor of the fermented seasonings. The soy sauce used is "Warabeuta" from Minamikura Shoten in Tokoname City. The noodles are gluten-free rice flour noodles, and their smooth texture is also a major draw.

Edible amulet

This unique dessert features fermented vegan ice cream made with amazake (sweet rice wine) as the base, encased in a monaka (wafer) shell infused with bamboo charcoal.
This playful treat, which is said to make your wish come true if you eat it while making a wish, is perfect to enjoy while strolling along the Pottery Footpath. You can savor the gentle sweetness of the fermentation and the fragrant aroma of the monaka (wafer).
Rice flour chocolate cake

This is a gluten-free chocolate cake made with rice flour. Since it's made without wheat flour, you can enjoy its moist texture and the gentle sweetness of chocolate.
It's popular not only as a dessert after a meal, but also as something to savor slowly during café time. It's a healthy sweet treat that can be enjoyed alongside vegan-friendly lunches.
Umioto Kitchen
This restaurant proposes veganism not as a "meal for special people," but as an option that everyone can enjoy. It's a pet-friendly space where you can relax and enjoy the seaside atmosphere.

A vegan-friendly smoothie made with amazake (sweet rice drink), soy milk, fruits, and vegetables. It's sugar-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free, making it a healthy choice.
In addition to the rich "Peanut Butter Smoothie" made with peanut butter, banana, and amazake (sweet rice wine), you can choose from a variety of smoothies to suit your mood, including the refreshing "Green Smoothie" made with spinach and avocado, the pretty "Pink Smoothie" with the vibrant color of beets, and the tropical "Yellow Smoothie" made with mango and pineapple.
Ono Town cho Kyoya
This shop offers traditional Japanese sweets that showcase meticulous craftsmanship, including homemade agar jelly and mochi balls.
One of its charms is the Tokoname atmosphere created by utilizing a renovated old house, allowing you to spend a relaxing time. Inside the shop, you can see pottery and traditional crafts, including Tokoname ware, made by the owner.
The garden visible from the window is also beautiful, making it a great place to take a break during a stroll around town.

This popular Japanese sweet features homemade mochi balls and agar jelly.
While it's usually served with ice cream and whipped cream, we can prepare it without them for vegans.

Machiya Coffee

This dish features coffee from "Shiinoki," a coffee roaster in Tokoname City, served with gently sweet red bean paste.
This menu item, typical of Tokoname, allows you to enjoy aromatic coffee and traditional Japanese sweets together.
Matcha

Enjoy a relaxing cup of matcha tea in the tranquil atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house.

Maruha Shokudo is famous for its huge fried shrimp! Look for the Tokonyan mascot holding a fried shrimp on top of the building. The fried shrimp is crispy and juicy. This is one of Nagoya's most famous dishes, and you can enjoy it here in Tokoname. We also recommend the fresh sashimi delivered directly from our Toyohama main store.

This course includes sashimi, a small side dish, one fried shrimp, grilled fish, two seasonal dishes, rice, and miso soup.
Since you can also enjoy seasonal dishes, this restaurant is recommended for those who want to enjoy a hearty meal, especially focusing on seafood.
