◇What is Tokoname Milk?
Tokoname Milk is a local milk brand produced by Tokoname Milk Co., Ltd., which was founded in Showa (Showa 1) in Tokoname City , Aichi Prefecture .
It all began with " Sanwa Milk," which was founded in the Sanwa district of Tokoname . Initially, they sold goat's milk, but with the rise of dairy farming (Holstein) on the Chita Peninsula, they started selling milk in Showa.
The familiar logo, featuring a child standing in the center of three rings, embodies the company's name at the time and the warm wish that "children will drink milk and grow up healthy and strong."
Since then, it has been a long-time favorite in school lunches in the local Chita Peninsula. Currently, about 70-80% of its production goes to school lunches, and the remainder is delivered to supermarkets and retailers mainly in the Chita Peninsula. With its retro and charming bottle and pack design, and its refreshing and smooth taste, this pure white long-selling product continues to be loved across generations.

◇ What's the secret to its deliciousness? The magic of "85℃ for 15 minutes"
Tokoname milk has a nostalgic and rich flavor. The secret lies in its exquisite pasteurization method: "85°C for 15 minutes," which maximizes the appeal of the raw milk nurtured by the natural environment of the Chita Peninsula.
• Perfect timing: Heating it any longer would result in a burnt smell; it's truly a testament to the craftsman's skill.
- Preserving the original flavor: Sterilization is carried out quickly to avoid compromising the flavor, and freshness is maintained hygienically at low temperatures.
This meticulous attention to detail minimizes heat denaturation of proteins, resulting in the naturally light and sweet aroma and smooth, mellow richness of raw milk.

Broth and egg
Located on the Pottery Footpath -maki tamago sandwiches is housed in a renovated historic building built in 1926. The owner, Mr. Inaba, originally from Tokoname City , honed his skills at a well-known restaurant specializing in dashi-maki tamago in Osaka before returning to his hometown to open this shop. Through the small window facing the walking path, you can enjoy a lively view of the chef's skillful technique as the dashi-maki tamago is expertly prepared right before your eyes.
The secret to its deliciousness lies in the carefully prepared dashi broth made from kelp and bonito, and the fresh eggs from the local Dairy Farm. The dashi-rolled egg sandwich, which is grilled on the spot after you order, is truly exquisite. When you bite into it, the dashi broth bursts out with a "sizzle," and at the same time, the silky smooth texture spreads throughout your mouth.
To accompany this exquisite sandwich, we recommend ordering it with Tokoname milk or coffee milk, unforgettable local flavors that the shop owner enjoyed in school lunches as a child. Please feel free to enjoy this special deliciousness filled with Tokoname's history and warmth.
