Sanco-Inn Nagoya Nishiki boasts excellent access to JR Nagoya Station and Chubu Centrair International Airport!
The hotel is only about an 8-minute subway and walking ride from JR Nagoya Station! Take the Higashiyama Line from Nagoya Station and get off at Sakae Station. Then, take Exit 1 and walk to the hotel. Furthermore, Chubu Centrair International Airport is easily accessible in about 50 minutes using the subway and Meitetsu express train!
The subway is also about a 3-minute walk from Exit 4 of Hisaya-Odori Station on the Sakuradori Line. From Nagoya Station, you can reach the destination in about the same amount of time using either the Mount Higashiyama or the Sakuradori Line.
Functional and reasonably priced rooms
This compact 12㎡ room features a double bed and is the most affordable room type at Sanco-Inn Nagoya Nishiki. Perfect for solo travelers, and even better value for couples who opt for "double use" where two people share one bed. It's sure to enhance your stay in Nagoya! *Please note that amenities such as toothbrushes are not provided in the rooms; please pick them up at the amenity bar on the 1st floor.

At the Amenity Bar, you can choose from three toothbrush bristles: soft, medium, and firm! We also offer a wide range of other amenities, including skincare products, razors, combs, and body towels, so you can pack lighter for your trip.
Our complimentary beverage service includes coffee, decaffeinated coffee (with significantly reduced caffeine), several types of black tea, green tea, and roasted green tea. Please choose your preferred drink. Hot water is available in the kettle provided in your room.

At the Pillow Bar, you can choose your preferred type from six different pillows with varying firmness and heights, on a first-come, first-served basis. This system, which allows you to customize your own comfortable sleeping environment, is very popular with our guests, who describe it as "the ultimate in luxury!"

Relax and refresh yourself in the artificial hot spring bath on the top floor (12F)! Experience traditional Japanese bathing culture right in the hotel, warming your tired body from sightseeing and shopping. The large public bath also features a "shower bar" experience with three types of Mirable showerheads, perfect for relaxation and beauty, providing maximum rejuvenation after a long day of travel. (Available hours: 3pm to 2am, 5am to 9am) *Please bring towels from your room.
There are several manners to observe when using the public bath.
- Take off your clothes in the changing room and put them in the locker.
Wash your body before and after getting into the bathtub.
You can bring small towels into the bathroom, but be sure not to put them in the bathtub!
Unfortunately, we cannot serve people with tattoos (including temporary tattoos).
The top-floor lounge is a great place to relax while enjoying the view.
From the 12th-floor lounge, you can enjoy the night view of downtown Nagoya. Bringing in takeout food and drinks from nearby restaurants will allow you to experience something truly special.
After your bath, enjoy a relaxing time gazing at the night view while savoring a complimentary ice pop. We offer four flavors: soda, melon soda, lemon soda, and cola.

Experience Nagoya's original morning set at the adjacent coffee shop! It's just a few seconds' walk from the hotel!
By the way, "morning set" refers to a breakfast culture originating in Nagoya where toast, a boiled egg, and other items are served as a set meal for the price of one drink such as coffee or tea. The menu offered in the set varies from shop to shop, so why not try finding a shop that suits your taste?

Located in Sakae, Nagoya's premier entertainment district, this hotel is surrounded by numerous bars and other establishments where you can enjoy the nightlife. There's also a 24-hour discount store nearby, where you can find Japanese sweets, matcha desserts, cosmetics, and character goods late into the night or early in the morning. The fact that it's tax-free is another great advantage.

In addition to experiencing Japanese izakaya culture, there are many restaurants serving local delicacies such as Nagoya specialties like "tebasaki" (chicken wings) and "hitsumabushi" (eel rice bowl). Tebasaki, in particular, is recommended because some restaurants offer takeout, so you can enjoy it in your hotel room.

Four Recommended Sightseeing Spots Near the Hotel
Nagoya Castle
Nagoya Castle, built in 1615 (Keicho 20) by Tokugawa Ieyasu, had its main buildings destroyed in the Nagoya raids of 1945. The rebuilt castle tower and other structures are now one of Nagoya's famous tourist attractions. From the hotel, take the subway from Sakae Station and get off at Nagoya Castle Station, then it's a 5-minute walk from Exit 7.

The symbol of Nagoya Castle is the golden shachihoko (mythical fish-like creature) adorning the castle tower. Did you know that there are male and female shachihoko? Can you tell which is male and which is female from the picture below? *The answer to the quiz is at the end.

Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER
Chubu Electric Power's MIRAI TOWER was designated a National Important Cultural Property in 2022, the first tower in Japan to receive this designation. From its indoor observation deck, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Nagoya, including the Nagoya's nightscape, which has been recognized as a Japanese Night View Heritage site. The tower is also a popular spot for foreign visitors tourists taking commemorative photos with its illuminated backdrop. (5-minute walk from the hotel)

Oasis 21
Oasis 21 is a futuristic spot that's currently a huge hit on social media and in international travel communities. The combination of the glass roof, dubbed the "Water Spaceship," and the towers, illuminated at night, is incredibly popular for its cyberpunk-anime-like photo opportunities, attracting large crowds of foreign visitors tourists every day. (Approximately a 5-minute walk from the hotel)

Osu Kannon Temple & Osu Shopping Street
Osu Kannon Temple was originally located in Osu, Mino Province, but was moved to its current location in 1612 (Keicho 17) by Tokugawa Ieyasu. The area has a unique atmosphere that evokes Japan's Showa era, which is one of the charms of the Osu shopping district. From the hotel, take the subway from Sakae Station, transfer at Kamimaezu Station, and get off at Osu Kannon Station (approximately 10 minutes).

[18:00] Checked into the hotel. Got my favorite pillow at the pillow bar and left my luggage.
[19:00] Head out into the city and start your Japanese night with Nagoya's local cuisine and drinks!
[21:30] To work off our meal, we took a walk and took photos of the beautifully lit-up city streets.
[22:30] Late-night shopping for snacks and souvenirs at a general discount store near the hotel.
Even with heavy luggage, you can rest assured knowing the hotel is only a 3-minute walk away!
[24:00] Relax and unwind in the hotel's top-floor public bath, "Shiki no Yu," to reset from the day's fatigue.
[The next morning] We'll experience Nagoya's breakfast at a coffee shop near the hotel and then set off to sightsee in Nagoya City.
Answer to the Golden Orca Quiz
The correct answer is that in the photo, the one on the left is female and the one on the right is male. In reality, the male is placed on the north side and the female on the south side. Incidentally, golden鯱 (shachihoko) come in pairs, with the male being larger and having more golden scales covering its body, giving it a more dazzling appearance.
