"Oshima Battery", a precious wartime heritage on a small island Oshima is a small island with a circumference of 3km, located 500m offshore from Hatohama in Imabari city. We will take a round trip ferry to tour the wartime structures that are over 100 years old.

Following the end of the Oldchina-Japanese War and in preparation for the Russia-Japanese War, Japan was strengthening its national defense, and construction began on a military fortress on Kojima, a key point on the Seto Inland Sea route. A total of 16 cannons were installed in 1902. However, with the construction of the Hoyo Fortress on the Sadamisaki Peninsula, the fortress ceased to be used in practice and its role came to an end. Since then, Kojima has been developed into a park, and even today its appearance is reminiscent of the past as an isolated island in the Seto Inland Sea.
Currently, the site welcomes visitors not only to the excellent fishing spot (Kurushima Strait) or those wishing to learn about peace, but also to take photogenic photos of the ruins.
