Witness a historic match – the first professional martial arts event to be held at the "Sacred Ground of Budo, the Former Butokuden (Kyoto)." QUINTET, the 5-on-5 elimination tournament that revolutionized the world of martial arts, returns to Japan as a numbered series after approximately three years. Tickets are on sale now!
This is an ultra-premium match with only about 200 seats available, offering the chance to witness history.
Mixed martial artist Kazushi Sakuraba launches a new grappling event called "QUINTET".
QUINTET is a grappling event where top-level grapplers from around the world compete in teams, but the roots of the sport lie in the ground techniques of judo, which developed in Japan.
Come and experience this historic day where world-class grappling meets the traditions of Japanese martial arts.
The venue for this tournament, the "Old Butokuden" in Kyoto, is Japan's oldest martial arts training hall, built in 1899, and is designated as a National Important Cultural Property. It is also a sacred place for "Kosen Judo," which can be considered the origin of Japanese ground fighting.
This marks the first time in history that a professional martial arts event will be held in this historic, dignified, and sacred wooden building.
Under the leadership of QUINTET founder Kazushi Sakuraba, and with the addition of new producer Genki Sudo, a new chapter in history begins here.
Furthermore, on the day of the tournament, there will be a special demonstration at the Butokuden by Hidehiko Yoshida, the judo gold medalist from the Barcelona Olympics.
