What is OCAT, the bus terminal directly connected to JR Namba Station?
OCAT ( Osaka City Air Terminal) is a multi-purpose complex located in the heart of Namba, Minami, Osaka . Opened in 1996, this six-story building is directly connected to JR Namba Station and is within walking distance of multiple train lines, including the Osaka Metro, Kintetsu/Hanshin lines, and Nankai lines, making it a very convenient location.
Despite being the largest bus terminal in western Japan, it integrates restaurants, fashion, general merchandise, and service shops, allowing users to complete transportation, shopping, and dining all in one place, thus attracting a diverse range of users. Not only are tourists and business people using it, but local residents also use it for their daily needs, making it a truly urban terminal that can be used for a variety of purposes.
Did you know that within OCAT there are shops that are perfect for making the most of your time while waiting for the bus?
For example, we operate a variety of shops, including an unmanned women's apparel shop, a select shop where you can purchase works from workshops in the Kansai region, a women's apparel shop where you can enjoy chatting with the staff, and a showroom where you can easily try out luxury beds.
So, in this article, we'll introduce four stylish select shops located inside OCAT, along with their recommended features.
Four stylish select shops inside OCAT
ShinPin
Located on the first floor, " ShinPin " is a women's apparel shop. It's a must-visit when you're in Namba, Minami, Osaka , as you can find trendy items at affordable prices.

Amazingly, all items in the store are 2 for 2,200 yen! (We do not sell items individually.)
We handle discounted items from numerous brands, which is why we can offer them at such low prices, and all items are brand new.
Furthermore, because it's an unmanned store, you can enjoy shopping without worrying about being seen by others. In addition to tops and bottoms, outerwear and accessories are also available, all at a uniform price.

In autumn, temperature fluctuations become quite extreme in Japan. Many tourists casually buy cardigans or innerwear in the evenings when it gets a little chilly.
In the summer, they sell swimsuits, and they were popular because they offered cute swimsuits at low prices, making them a great bargain.
As you can see, this shop is perfect for making the most of your bus waiting time, as you can buy trendy items ahead of the season at low prices. Be sure to check out " ShinPin " and find your favorite items!

Particularly popular are the " Osaka Dialect Leather Keychains," made in a workshop in Osaka . These keychains feature embroidered Osaka dialect phrases that are sure to bring a smile to your face, and they are a popular souvenir from Osaka. The staff at MY atelier speak Osaka dialect, so if you want to know the meaning of the phrases, just ask them.

There are also many bracelets made with power stones. You might have trouble deciding which one to choose!
Additionally, workshops are held on certain days. Even those with no experience can create adorable pieces with the kind guidance of the shop staff. Please check directly with the shop to confirm whether workshops are being held.

" Ash " also has a great selection of items, allowing you to choose what you like from a wide variety of products. While it's fine to choose your own items, why not ask the staff for their advice? The shop is run by a husband and wife team, both of whom are excellent conversationalists and specialists in clothing selection! Apparently, some customers even travel long distances by bus to OCAT just to meet this couple.

They warmly welcome international customers, so please feel free to stop by. You're sure to find clothing that's uniquely Japanese.

France Bed

" France Bed " is a well-known bed manufacturer in Japan. They have a large showroom on the first floor where you can try out all their products for free and purchase them on the spot if you like them.

In particular, if a pillow is in stock, you can purchase it and take it home to use that very night at your home or hotel. There are so many types to choose from that it can be overwhelming, but a sleep advisor is always on hand at the showroom to help you select and recommend a pillow that suits your body shape and sleeping position. They can especially guarantee the best possible sleep for people who have trouble sleeping with a different pillow.

Many people don't know about this, but there's a hidden gem of a massage machine that you can use casually. It's partitioned off by screens, creating a private space, so you can relax and relieve your travel fatigue without worrying about being seen. Of course, it's free to try, and there's no pressure from the staff to buy anything. This massage machine is the type where you lie on your back, and it taps and kneads your whole body, from your neck to your calves. It feels so good that you need to be extra careful not to fall asleep and miss your bus.
