Chiba prefecture lies to the east of Tokyo and includes the Boso Peninsula, which is a popular resort area, as well as many beaches where surfing is available all year round.

Chiba is perhaps best known as being where Narita Airport, Japan's largest airport, is located, plus many historical temples and shrines. Chiba is also home to the Tokyo Disney Resort, which includes the ever popular Tokyo Disneyland and the more adult-friendly Tokyo DisneySea.
