Kusasenrigahama Beach
Near the Aso Volcano Museum is Kusasenrihama Beach, one of Aso's most popular tourist spots. A double crater formed about 30,000 years ago, with a crater about 400m in diameter, inside a crater about 1km in diameter. Two ponds can be seen today, the pond on the west side is the outer crater bottom, and the pond on the east side is the inner crater.
